The Project
Theology offers a home for the vast and the intimate. No question is foreclosed.
UNTAMED has produced a first, six-film short documentary series, profiling living theologians in Europe and the UK. As human-centered character profiles, these films explore the connections between life story and theological work.
This series does not promote theological ideas for the sake of mere agreement. On the contrary, the series explores the very personal connections between the vulnerability of life and the possibility that theological work today might boldly, humbly look forward.
The films combine to paint a portrait of contemporary theology as a discipline that asks broad, probing questions in pursuit of what’s possible.
It’s not that we are on the threshold of discovering God, but that perhaps God is already on the threshold of our lives, knocking to enter through our deepest desires, wounds, questions, and life work.
UNTAMED is currently in production on the next set of THRESHOLD films, produced in Nigeria, Ghana, and South Africa.
